With the unfortunate similarity in the nomenclature of many of the First Age Elves, and their family relationships, it's time to decide which one does best and hopefully finally elucidate which one is which... And sorry for the awful pun in the title.
Coming into exam time, our first games night of term to give you a break from revision and exam worries. A variety of Tolkien-themed games will be on offer, with the unifying feature being a complete lack of seriousness!
With most people still in exams, our second games night to avoid you having to think too seriously.
Something different for CTS this evening: we'll be attempting to recreate some of our favourite scenes from Tolkien's works, probably with varying degrees of success and seriousness. Bringing along costumes would therefore be useful. Who knows, we may even record any particularly successful ones...
The provisional date for our yearly Puntmoot, where we attempt to reach Egladil (colloquially known as Grantchester). More details nearer the time.
To end the term and the year, we'll be showing the extended version of Return of the King (all 4 hours + of it) after our showings of Fellowship and the Two Towers in Michaelmas and Lent.
